Last night, I was lucky enough to be invited to pop on over to the Factory Road residence to marvel at the various arty treats that the Mail Me Art exhibition had to offer. In return, I was greeted by a wave of hundreds of designs, all lined up, standing to attention and eagerly awaiting my contemplation!
I wasn’t able to capture all of the amazing artwork but here’s just a brief snippet from a section of one of the walls anyway.
Peeping into each little papery window after another it was easy
to feel overwhelmed by the detail and overall consideration that each small
envelope housed.
As an enthusiast of anything handmade and admittedly, but
rather embarrassingly, still getting a slight tinge of excitement from receiving
letters through the post, (something that I obviously haven’t managed to shake
off in my older age) the personal nature of the project is a wonderful idea
that manages to unite arty people from all over the world for a singular
purpose. Sounds pretty awesome to me!
